Position Overview
The Director of Institutional Research at Nelson University serves as a bridge between the Registrar's Office and various university departments, and utilizes data-driven insights to steer decision-making processes and bolster institutional efficiency. Primary responsibilities include managing records and reporting procedures, spearheading institutional research initiatives, and managing grants with an emphasis on Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) focus.

- Prepare reports relating to the Registrar’s Office in tandem with the Registrar (E.g. Registration Reports, IPEDS, Institutional Surveys to external agencies, Honors List)
- Maintain a survey schedule, survey instruments, and data.
- Act as a liaison to the IT Department regarding the integrated campus software system.
- Serve as an advisor in the maintenance of degree audits/degree plans.
- Lead the development and execution of institutional research projects to assess student success, academic programs, and institutional effectiveness.
- HSI Grant Writing and Management (Consultant assistance available as needed.)
- Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:
- Alignment with Nelson University expectations regarding faith, service, and lifestyle.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field preferred.
- Three years of experience in a registrar’s office, institutional research, data analysis, or grant writing preferred.
- Proficiency in quantitative research methodologies preferred.
